WordPress Care Plan: Your Site Stays Fast, Every Month
You paid to get your WordPress site fast. Now keep it that way.
Without ongoing maintenance, WordPress sites slow down within 3–6 months. Every new plugin, image upload, and theme update chips away at the performance gains you worked hard to achieve.
A WordPress care plan keeps those gains locked in and handles everything else that quietly breaks in the background.
Starting at $49/month. Cancel any time.
What Happens to an Unmanaged WordPress Site
Most site owners don’t notice performance drift until it’s already hurting them. Here’s what accumulates without ongoing care:
- Plugin and theme updates that conflict and slow down rendering
- Database bloat from post revisions, expired transients, and spam comments, adding hundreds of milliseconds to every page load
- Unoptimized images uploaded without compression, dragging down LCP
- Core Web Vitals slipping below Google’s thresholds, quietly costing rankings
- Outdated plugins are creating security vulnerabilities, 97% of WordPress hacks exploit outdated software
- PHP errors are accumulating in the background, invisible to you but visible to Google’s crawler
A care plan catches all of this before it becomes a problem.
What’s Included Every Month
Speed maintenance
Your PageSpeed score is monitored monthly. If it drops below 85 on desktop or 75 on mobile, I fix it, at no extra charge. This includes re-optimizing images, clearing cache conflicts, and addressing any new render-blocking resources introduced by plugin updates.
WordPress core, plugin & theme updates
All updates were applied safely, in a staging environment where possible. Each update is tested before going live, so you never wake up to a broken site.
Database optimization
Monthly cleanup of post revisions, auto-drafts, expired transients, spam comments, and orphaned metadata. On a typical WordPress site, this reduces database size by 30–60% over six months and measurably improves server response time (TTFB).
Uptime monitoring
Your site is checked every 5 minutes. If it goes down, you get notified immediately, and I investigate the cause.
Monthly performance report
A plain-English report every month showing your PageSpeed scores (desktop + mobile), Core Web Vitals status, uptime percentage, and a summary of what was done. No jargon, no fluff.
Security scan
Monthly malware and vulnerability scan. If anything is found, removal is included.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need the one-time speed optimization before signing up for a care plan?
Not required, but recommended. The care plan maintains performance; it works best when your site is already optimized. If your site hasn’t been speed-optimized yet, I’d suggest starting with the WordPress speed optimization service first, then moving to a care plan to keep those results.
What if my PageSpeed score drops between my monthly checks?
On the Pro and Pro+ plans, you can reach out anytime if you notice a score drop. I’ll investigate and fix it within 48 hours. This is covered under the plan — no extra charge.
Will you touch my content or design?
No. All maintenance work happens at the performance and technical layer: updates, caching, database, and security. Your content, design, and layout are never changed without your explicit instruction. Pro and Pro+ plans include up to 30 minutes of minor content edits per month if you need small copy changes.
What access do you need?
WordPress admin access and, where needed, FTP/hosting panel access for database work and update staging. Credentials are used only for maintenance work and never stored after access is revoked.
Can I combine a care plan with the one-time speed optimization?
Yes, and this is the most common setup. Start with a one-time optimization to hit your target score, then move to a care plan to keep it there. Clients who do both get a $20/month discount on any care plan for the first 6 months.
Why This Matters More Than You Think
A WordPress site that was 90+ on PageSpeed in January is commonly 65–70 by June, without a single intentional change from the owner. Here is why:
Plugins auto-update and introduce new JavaScript. Images get uploaded at full resolution. Database tables double in size. A new widget is added to the sidebar that loads a third-party script on every page. None of these feels significant in isolation. Together, they cost you 20–30 points in six months and push your site off page 1 of Google for keywords you worked to rank for.
A care plan is not a luxury for large businesses. For any site generating leads, bookings, or revenue, the cost of losing rankings for 60–90 days far exceeds the cost of a $49 monthly plan.
